Atiku to Jonathan: Four-man consensus better than one-man dictatorship
A statement issued by the Atiku Campaign Organisation, said that a “four-man consensus is better than a one-man dictatorship” as he remains a pan-Nigerian per excellence with friends and allies across the geo-political divide of the nation.
The statement reads in part: “With a clannish person such as they have, who did everything to protect his kinsmen from criminal prosecution following their involvement in the October 1 twin – bombing of Abuja has no moral, political or legal right to call anyone a sectionalist. The Jonathan Campaign organisation should bury its head in shame for a failed attempt to subvert investigation into criminal activity.
“The consensus process was open and transparent. It rose out of the necessity to check the excesses and greed of a President who came to office through zoning but turned his back at it by saying it did not exist. This President will be remembered for his crass opportunism and for lack of trust.
“The tension in the country should be blamed on the President’s reckless decision to subvert zoning, a process that has given Nigeria a stable democracy for over twelve years now. Four-man consensus is better than a one-man dictatorship. Let the President tell us how he and his former boss came to be imposed on the entire country by one man.
“To label Atiku a sectional leader is ridiculous. Placed against Jonathan, a clannish leader, Atiku is a pan-Nigerian per excellence with friends and allies across the geo-political divide of the nation.
