Women group woos Damkwambo for Gombe gubernatorial seat
Gombe Women Indigenes Association with membership scattered across the country over the weekend called on the Accountant General of the Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Dankwambo to vie for the Gombe State gubernatorial seat.
Chairlady of the group, Hajiya Magajiya Isa Danmade who made the call described the Accountant General as the only indigene of Gombe State that qualifies to succeed Governor Dajuma Goje come 2011.
“It was based on this that we as Gombe indigenes are calling on Dankwambo to please come back home to succeed Governor Danjuma Guje so that he can continue with the good work the present governor has started. We hope he will answer our calls...,” she said.
According to her, Dankwambo in his present position has done a lot to the indigenes of Gombe and the state through provision of boreholes, schools, transformers with a view to improving the wellbeing of his people
